At The bedrock of our very foundation
At The core of our identity,
Is the belief That we have to earn love…
That we are Inherently Unloveable
That we are loved Conditionally
that our love-ability
Is determined by …
How we look
what we do
how We feel
what We say
That in order to be loved,
We have to fit in a box
That’s too small for us
Live by An unsaid set of rules
That being loveable
Is an achievement That takes hard work
Twisted
Deranged
Untrue
So why do we believe it?
Even with all of the evidence that says it’s a bullshit belief
Why do we believe We are Unloveable ?
We can go around looking for proof that we are loveable
Or we can choose to love.
